Gurl!!!!! What're you talking about?!?!?! I'm what makes you different! Without me you would be no different than the smooth endoplasmic reticulum! KABOOM! By the way I also float freely in the cytoplasm I only take habitat on your surface because you kind of need me!
You think you're cool, but you forgot to give me credit for creating you. I am the nucleolus, and without me, you wouldn't exist. I create the ribosomal subunits that are essential for your creation, or in other words, I am your parent.
Ohhh my lovely parents this might be very true that you have created me, and yes a little credit to you, but you're forgetting something... As you clearly do not know, if you didn't create me no proteins would have been created, the cell would stop functioning, and the whole cell would quickly die, that includes the nucleolus too! Therefore, you need me a lot more than you think!
I think all three of you are missing the point. The creation of the one who makes unusable proteins, or the one who transports these non-functioning proteins are equally as useless if the end product can not be used to contribute to the overall well-being of the cell.
Luckily, you've got me. I'll ensure that the rest of the cell has plenty of USABLE proteins to go around.

You are right to a certain point because if there was none of me for you to pass around you'd be just as useless as every other organelle who doesn't have me!
Sorry Andrew, you're not convincing anyone. Ribosomes and their fellow organelles, just can't live up to the importance of the cell membrane. Without me, you guys would be just "blah". Unhealthy & unbalanced.
Listen here, your function is pretty cool and all but without the rough endoplasmic reticulum, you wouldn't have a place to live, let alone exist.

ReplyDelete- Nucleolus
Took the words right out of my mouth.
DeleteFellow nucleolus campaigner, I appreciate your comments

Oh and dear ribosomes, listen to your parents. You wouldn't be here without us.
xox

DeleteThe ribosome is hands down the most important organelle!!! Vote Ribosome!!
ReplyDeleteHELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!
DeleteWell guys I am what holds all of you together. Vote Cytoplasm without me there would be no cell. I am what helps you survive.
